Results consistently showed an enrichment of both histone activating marks at the HERG1 promoter upon SAHA treatment that parallels increased HERG1A mRNA expression in both HNSCC-derived cell lines (Fig. 4B,C), suggesting the contribution of histone acetylation to the regulation of aberrant HERG1 expression in HNSCC.
