KCNH2 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma: To study the possible contribution of histone post-translational modification to the aberrant expression of HERG1 in HNSCC, two different HNSCC-cell lines (SCC38 and SCC40) were treated with the histone deacetylase inhibitor SAHA and histone acetylation status at HERG1 promoter was analysed by ChIP experiments using antibodies against both histone H3 acetylation (H3Ac) and histone H4 lysine 16 acetylation (H4K16Ac).
