To address this issue, we evaluated arterial stiffness using pulse wave velocity (PWV), brachial artery distensibility (Brach D), and augmentation index (AIx) in a group of Chinese adolescents and young adults with newly-diagnosed T2DM and sought to determine whether high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (Hs-CRP), a marker of LI, correlated with arterial stiffness. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
