In this study, we compared the genotype distribution of the five polymorphisms that were previously reported in the literature to be associated with the risk of breast cancer [13, 17, 18] in three groups of women: women at-risk for hereditary breast cancer, with germline mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, women with VUS identified in one of those genes, and women WT for both genes. Here, BRCA1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
