To determine whether CTFs of TDP43 form cytoplasmic IBs or undergo translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm in live cells, we used time-lapse fluorescence microscopy to visualize the localization of TDP43 tagged simultaneously with RFP at the N terminus and with GFP at the C terminus (R-TDP43-G) or with mTFP1 at the N terminus and with YFP at the C terminus (T-TDP43-Y) in live murine neuroblastoma cells (Neuro2A) after activation of caspase 3 by incubation with staurosporine (STS; Fig. 1a). This evidence concerns the gene CASP3 and neuroblastoma.
