CCR3 was expressed in prostate cancer, but not in normal epithelium (Fig. 4a), and its expression was correlated with Gleason score that reflects both the extent of glandular differentiation and the pattern of growth of the tumour in the prostatic stroma (a high score is associated with an aggressive tumour and poor prognosis)33 (Supplementary Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene CCR3 and prostate carcinoma.
