Gallagher et al. [27] reported in a group of 110 patients (36 with three germline mutations of BRCA genes (20 BRCA1 mutations, 16 BRCA2 mutations) vs 74 controls) that ovarian cancer patients with BRCA mutations had better survival (median not reached vs 67.8 months for controls, respectively; p = 0.02). This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and ovarian cancer.
