ERVW-1 and infection: Although both cell lines generally facilitated similar levels of CyHV-3 antigen expression, differences were observed such that the expression of capsid-associated antigen was significantly greater during the later stages of infection (i.e. 2–7 dpi) compared to the earlier stages (i.e. 1–24 hpi) in CCB cells (p = 0.016), as was the expression of the envelope glycoprotein antigen (p = 0.05), but not in KF-1 cells.
