There is mounting evidence that 7,8-DHF mimics the physiological activities of BDNF and exhibits promising therapeutic efficacy toward various neurological diseases including Parkinson’s disease (PD) [26], Huntington’s disease (HD) [27], ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) [53, 54], Alzheimer’s disease (AD) [55–58], Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) [59], and Rett Syndrome [60].
