FLNA and melanoma: The authors found that DRD2 was predominantly intracellular in M2 cells, a human melanoma cell line does not express FLNA, whereas it localized at the plasma membrane in A7 cells, the same line stably transfected with FLNA, suggesting that FLNA is required for the cell surface localization of DRD2, as also demonstrated by using a dominant negative truncated form of FLNA (repeats 18–19, containing the DRD2, but not the actin, binding domain) (80).
