NFKB1 and asthma: The activation of NF-κB, especially the constitutively activated NF-κB in chronic inflammatory patients, has been found the critical linkage with a wide variety of human diseases, including asthma, atherosclerosis, AIDS, Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, diabetes, and osteoporosis which belong to autoimmune/inflammatory diseases (Vallabhapurapu and Karin, 2009; Gupta et al., 2010b).
