Further, with the molecular basis of the participation of PI3K/Akt pathway in 14-3-3β-regulated tumor cell invasion as well as the tissue microarray data, we show that 14-3-3β in combination with p-Akt, the level of which is positively correlated with the expression of 14-3-3β in the primary HCC tumors, can better predict post-surgical outcome of HCC patients.
