Previous studies have shown genetic or epigenetic alterations in several CCDC genes in human cancers, including CCDC19 (NESG1) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma [10], CCDC62 in prostate cancer [11], CCDC116 in pancreatic cancer [12], CCDC6 in lung cancer [13], CCDC8 in renal carcinoma [14], CCDC98 in breast cancer [15], and CCDC134 in gastric cancer [16]. This evidence concerns the gene CFAP45 and gastric cancer.
