Crizotinib, a dual inhibitor of hepatocyte growth factor receptor (c-Met/HGFR) kinase and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), was approved and launched in the U.S. in August 2011 for the treatment of patients with ALK-positive advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
