Recent improvements in the treatment of colon cancer, such as antiepidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) therapy using cetuximab, are limited by resistance arising from oncogenic mutations in signaling receptors and pathways [7.] In CRC, 40% of patients carry a KRAS mutation, 15% carry a BRAF mutation, and 20% carry a PI3KCA mutation [7.] These patients do not respond to available anti‐EGFR therapies and it is considered to be a disease subset equivalent to the triple negative form of breast cancer. Here, KRAS is linked to breast cancer.
