Among the miRNAs studied, miR-146a-5p, miR-155-5p, miR-182-5p, and miR-183-5p are four particularly crucial miRNAs for the following reasons: they all show significant differential profiles in the disease course; they all regulate NF-κB pathway, and miR-146a-5p and miR-155-5p are regarded as potent immunological drivers; they all have been reported in some uveitis models. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is uveitis.
