Serum cytokines were analyzed in both RA patients of group A and group B. As shown in Figure 3, the serum levels of proinflammatory cytokines such as IFN-γ (Figure 3(a)), IL-18 (Figure 3(b)), IL-6 (Figure 3(c)), IL-17A (Figure 3(f)), and IL-21 (Figure 3(h)) were degraded after the therapy in group A and the concentrations of IFN-γ (Figure 3(a)), IL-17A (Figure 3(f)), and IL-21 (Figure 3(h)) were significantly reduced after 52-week therapy. The gene discussed is IL21; the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.
