Inhibiting FGFR3 protein with FGFR3‐directed therapies caused remarkable antitumor effects in preclinical models on brain cancer, colorectal cancer, and multiple myeloma, as well as in clinical trials on glioblastoma patients with tumors bearing FGFR3‐TACC3 fusions 3, 4, 6. This evidence concerns the gene FGFR3 and glioblastoma.
