A candidate study from a large breast cancer trial demonstrated an association between a SNP in FANCD2 and taxane induced neuropathy.[8] However another large trial identified a SNP in FDG4 that correlated with increased likelihood of paclitaxel-induced peripheral neuropathy.[9] FDG4 is associated with the hereditary neuropathy condition of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. This evidence concerns the gene FANCD2 and breast cancer.
