A significant increase in the number of CD8+ EdU+ T cells was also observed in knockout lungs on day 6 (0.99 ± 0.11 x 105 vs. 2.32 ± 0.66 x 105; p<0.05) and day 10 (2.22 ± 0.44 x 105 vs. 3.95 ± 0.52 x 105; p<0.05) post-infection (Fig 7B). Here, CD8A is linked to infection.
