LRP8 and infection: More recently, Deng and colleagues demonstrated that the 3′ portion of a 5’ tRF (named tRF5-GluCTC) targets the 3′UTR of APOER2. Remarkably it was shown that tRF5-GluCTC is overexpressed in response to respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection and promotes further infection by modulating the level of Apoer2 [9].
