To date, it is widely accepted that CIMP-H is a distinct form of epigenomic instability in sporadic CRC [2, 12] which is strongly associated with a hypermutated profile [13], with BRAFV600E mutation [14] and with microsatellite instability (MSI) through epigenetic silencing of MLH1 [15, 16]. Here, MLH1 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
