INS and polycystic ovary syndrome: Tantalaki E et al. [12] investigated the role of dietary AGEs on serum levels of insulin and HOMA-IR index in women with PCOS who were fed high-AGE and low-AGE diet for 2 months and results showed a marked reduction in insulin and HOMA with low-AGE diet (p = 0.02 and p = 0.03 respectively) and strong positive correlation of dietary AGEs with insulin levels (p = 0.04).
