DIXDC1 and gastric carcinoma: Therefore, the goals of this study are (a) to enlarge the sample size (259 cases) to further study the relationship between DIXDC1 expression and clinicopathological features of gastric carcinoma and its effect on patients’ prognoses; (b) to explore the expression pattern of DIXDC1 and the subcellular localization of β-catenin in different histopathological subtypes of gastric carcinoma (intestinal-type and diffuse-type); and (c) to verify the contribution of DIXDC1-mediated Wnt activation in intestinal-type gastric carcinogenesis.
