Furthermore, the tear secretion in the H89+α-MSH-treated dry eye group was significantly lower than that in the PD98059+α-MSH-treated dry eye group (Fig. 3A, p < 0.05), while significant differences were not found in BUT and fluorescein staining between the two blocker-treated groups (Fig. 3B,D, p = 0.585 for BUT, p = 0.326 for fluorescein staining). This evidence concerns the gene STAMBP and dry eye syndrome.
