Also, considering that there are other important variables that can interfere with the immune profile observed in the different treated groups, such as the level of nadir CD4+ T cell counts (that is, the lowest count before treatment), duration of infection, duration of treatment, immune recovery after treatment, and residual viremia, we performed supplemental analysis to rule out that some of these factors would play a primary role in affecting our results.
