It has been reported that the simultaneous elevated levels of perioperative CEA, CA199, and CA724 suggest the metastasis and poor prognosis of gastric cancer.23,24 CA724 is the most sensitive serum tumor biomarker for gastric cancer, which can be used for predicting the sensitivity to chemotherapy.25 In combination with CEA, CA125, and CAl99, CA724 can improve sensitivity for the early diagnosis of gastric cancer.26 In the present case, we found that the level of CEA and CA199 increased with the development of MP and decreased to normal after radiotherapy. Here, CEACAM5 is linked to neoplasm.
