Integration of CDR1 and VSNL1 within a physical and genetic interaction network strongly supports our hypothesis on their involvement in GBM: the network is centered on 16 nodes (hub nodes), 15 of which are involved in glioma cell pathways and in biological functions as central nervous system development, gliogenesis, negative regulation of neuron apoptosis (see Table 1 and Supplementary Figure 1). This evidence concerns the gene CDR1 and central nervous system cancer.
