Analysis of the numbers of cells expressing CD3, CD20, CD11c, and CD68 (CD68high macrophages), normalized to the total number of neurons in the same section, showed that primary SVV infection was associated with a transient significant increase in the relative number of CD3+ (p = 0.02) cells and CD11c+ myeloid (p = 0.01) cells at 13 dpi compared to 9 dpi (Fig. 2b). The gene discussed is CD68; the disease is infection.
