Despite being difficult to accurately measure the intensity of that probe because of the smeary nature of its signal (especially in the case of 0, 15 and 30 min trypomastigote treatment), the lifespan seems to be the same for all the MASP RNAs detected in trypomastigotes and epimastigotes, with the hybridization signal almost lost after 2 h of AD treatment in both life-cycle stages (figure 4).
