In patients with apoAI level ≥150 mg/dL no change in lipids, apoAI, apoB concentration and the values of lipid and lipoprotein ratios was shown, but in those with apoAI ≤ 150 mg/dL level significant differences in HDL-C, apoAI and apoB level and of lipid and lipoprotein ratios were shown, which indicated a risk of atherosclerosis and coronary heart diseases. This evidence concerns the gene APOB and atherosclerosis.
