TNF and Ascites: Based on stepwise multiple logistic regression analysis of factors (Child-Pugh classification, MELD score, bilirubin, albumin, creatinine, low serum sodium concentration, INR, MAP AOPPs-albumin, hs-TnT, and TNF-α), plasma AOPPs-albumin level [odds ratio (OR) = 0.19, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 0.21–0.44, P < 0.001], hs-TnT level [odds ratio (OR) = 0.11, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 0.17–0.61, P < 0.001], and creatinine level (OR = 0.64, 95% CI = 0.02–0.03, P < 0.001) were found to be independent predictors of ascites (Table 4).
