ACE and heart disorder: A total of 603 patients (47.3 %) had received 1206 concomitant medications; ACE inhibitors (plain: n = 96, combinations: n = 21), beta blocking agents (n = 102), analgesics and antipyretics (n = 88), blood glucose lowering drugs excluding insulin (n = 87), vasodilators used in cardiac diseases (n = 83) and lipid-modifying agents (n = 61) were the most frequently prescribed drugs.
