We also confirmed that SUN2 protein expression is significantly reduced in most cases of lung cancer through immunohistochemistry analysis (Fig. 1b,c).Moreover, Oncomine data mining revealed that SUN2 is significantly down-regulated in other human cancers, such as cervical carcinoma, colorectal cancer, esophageal carcinoma and oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma21, 22, 23, 24 (Supplementary Fig. S3), suggesting that SUN2 expression is closely related to cancer initiation or progression.
