With respect to LTA rs909253, allele A is a risk factor for disease development (pA/H1N1 vs. AHC: p = 0.049; OR 1.34, 95% CI: 1.01–1.80), whereas the IL6 rs2066992 T allele is a protective factor (pA/H1N1 vs. AHC: p = 0.007; OR = 0.62, 95% CI: 0.43–0.98). This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and alternating hemiplegia of childhood.
