TG and hyperlipidemia: Abnormal elevation of TC, LDL, and TG, and decrease of HDL have been observed in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism,5,6 or even in subject with normal TSH (TSH near the upper limit within the normal reference range).6–10 The current large population-based study was able to indicate protective effects of low-TSH concentration against hyperlipidemia and enhanced risks of hyperlipidemia in high-TSH concentration; these effects were independent of thyroid hormones.
