Two chemokine receptor antagonists have nowbeen approved by the FDA: the CCR5 antagonist maraviroc (Pfizer) fortreatment of HIV/AIDS in patients with CCR5‐using strains; and the CXCR4 antagonistplerixafor (Sanofi) forhematopoietic stem cell mobilization with G‐CSF(CSF3, P09919) in patients undergoingtransplantation in the context of chemotherapy for lymphoma and multiple myeloma. This evidence concerns the gene CSF3 and AIDS.
