Our results indicating the association of some polymorphic variants of ERCC6/CSB and ERCC2/XPD genes with advanced bladder cancer (T ≥ 2 as compared to Ta/T1 tumors or T ≥ 2 high as opposed to T ≥ 2 low grade carcinomas) fit into an overall picture, but the problem needs to be further explored to confirm some regularities arising from our own and literature data. Here, ERCC6 is linked to urinary bladder cancer.
