ERCC2 and neoplasm: The ERCC6/CSB 1097Val/Val genotype enhanced susceptibility to advanced (T ≥ 2) urothelial carcinoma (Table 7), and the ERCC2/XPD 312Asn allele seemed to promote tumor malignancy, since its frequency was increased in patients with T ≥ 2 high grade tumors as compared to T ≥ 2 low grade neoplasms (Figure 3(a)).
