Also of interest is the presence in a subset of BAHD1-DMRs of binding sites for the transcription factor SP1, with which BAHD1 co-immunoprecipitates (Bierne et al., 2009), as well as for STAT factors that may act in synergy with BAHD1 to repress immunity gene expression during a bacterial infection (Lebreton et al., 2011).
