EZH2 and cancer: Overexpression of EZH2 in cancer was proposed to result from gene amplification (Bracken et al. 2003), down-regulation of microRNA 101 (miRNA-101) (Varambally et al. 2008), and stimulation of its expression by the pRB–E2F (Bracken et al. 2003) and MEK–ERK pathways.
