ERBB2 and metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes: A Chinese National Cancer Center study that included 3,198 patients showed that the probability of positive lymph nodes in TNBC patients was significantly lower than that in patients with other subtypes (28.2% vs 43.3–44.8%), although without multivariate analysis.23 In a Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results study with 7,274 patients, the HR+/HER2– subtype had a higher rate of lymph node metastasis at diagnosis than the TNBC.24 However, the value of BCS for predicting axillary lymph node status is still controversial.
