DICER1 and psychiatric disorder: Consistent with our DICER1 result from the primary analysis, we found that at genome-wide FDR<0.05, DICER1 was significantly downregulated in cases compared with controls (F-test, P=0.0001, adjusted P=0.048), suggesting that the reduced expression of DICER1 in the cases was not likely due to effects of drug or alcohol use, other psychiatric disorders or variation in immune cell proportions.
