We also identified another SNP, rs8905, in the 3’ UTR of PRKAR1A, that was significantly associated with decreased expression in tumors relative to non-tumor tissue of the miRNA that targets PRKAR1A, hsa-miR-214-3p, in subjects of the homozygote common (TT) genotype as compared to the heterozygote and homozygote rare (TG, GG respectively) genotypes. The gene discussed is PRKAR1A; the disease is neoplasm.
