EPX and uterine cancer: Signatures 1 and 8 (C > A at TpCpT and C > T at TpCpG, respectively) observed in colorectal and uterine cancers appear likely to be associated with deregulated activity of the error-prone polymerase Pol ε. In previous analyses of these data [8], the signature for Pol ε dysfunction was represented by a single signature (their “signature 10”, see S2 Fig).
