Similarly, CRP levels were increased in TB patients compared to controls (36 μg/ml [IQR 12–74] vs. 0.5 μg/ml [0.2–1.2]; p<0.001), but no significant difference was observed when comparing CRP levels in HIV+ and HIV-negative patients (median 35 μg/ml [IQR 13–73] vs. 31 μg/ml [IQR 11–70], respectively; p = 0.613).
