We show here that the RSK1 and RSK2 kinases play a key role in the homing of ovarian cancer cells in metastatic sites by regulating cell adhesion and invasion likely through a mechanism involving the RSK1/2-driven activation of the transcription/translation factor YB-1, the transcription of the FN1 gene and the translation of the TGF-β1 mRNA. The gene discussed is FN1; the disease is ovarian cancer.
