Although Fn14, which was identified as the tumor necrosis factor-like weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK) receptor, was reported to play an important role in other diseases, such as cardiac hypertrophy [43], cardiac failure [13], skeletal muscle atrophy and metabolic dysfunction [21], there are no reports on Fn14 function in human fibroblast activation. The gene discussed is TNFRSF12A; the disease is cardiac hypertrophy.
