Elevated miR-18b expression in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma accelerates cell growth, and knockdown of C-Jun causes a dramatic decrease of miR-18b expression [36]; AP-1 binds to miR-101 promoter and activates its expression where miR-101 can further suppress the c-Fos and subsequently attenuate the AP-1 signaling [37]; miR-187 is expressed at high level in ovarian cancer, and it inhibits the expression of disabled-2 tumor suppressor who can suppress tumorigenicity by reducing c-Fos expression [38,39]. This evidence concerns the gene JUN and ovarian carcinoma.
