Consistent with the observation from A498 cells, upon AZD1775 treatment, all five tumors generated from another SETD2-deficient cell line (LB996) regressed from day 3 onward, resulting in a 4.7-fold reduction in tumor size compared to vehicle-treated control animals (tumor size at day 12 = 66.5 ± 15.3 mm3 versus 313.3 ± 40.2 mm3, p < 0.0001) (Figure 5A). The gene discussed is SETD2; the disease is neoplasm.
