We suggest that co-inhibition of GLUT-1 expression and the activation of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway may improve the radiosensitivity of laryngeal carcinoma in vivo, the mechanism(s) of which may involve inhibiting the expression of GLUT-1, p-Akt, and PI3K via GLUT-1 AS-ODN and PI3K/Akt inhibitors. Here, SLC2A1 is linked to laryngeal carcinoma.
