Importantly, our results suggest that HSP70 inhibitors have the potential as novel KSHV antiviral agents and it would now be interesting to test these in conjunction with other molecular chaperone inhibitors, specifically HSP90 inhibitors [41], which have the potential to eradicate latent KSHV reservoirs in both in vitro and in vivo tumour models.
